The Anglo-Belarusian Society with the People’s Embassy of Belarus in the UK would like to invite all “Draniki” lovers to celebrate the International Dranik Day in a friendly atmosphere.

If you enjoy cooking – you’re welcome to bring your “Draniki” potato pancakes to compete in a fun tasting contest (warming them up will be possible).

All the guests will have the opportunity to taste the potato pancakes of different Draniki experts and choose the best.

Also feel free to bring condiments, Belarusian dishes, fruits, snacks and drinks!

The event is free to attend. Donations to reimburse expenses and to charity are welcomed

Event plan:
14.00 – Start
14.30 – Zoom / YouTube presentation of Aleś Bely, historian, author of 7 books on the history of Belarusian and Lithuanian cuisine, including “The Belarusian Cookbook” in English (2009), entrepreneur. The presentation will be followed by Q&A.
